Hailing the economic growth of Laos and its investor friendly policies, visiting Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Friday said that as the fourth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity and one of the fastest growing economies, India is eager to expand commercially in this country.
Vientiane (Laos) Sept 10 (PTI) Giving a further boost to its relations with ASEAN countries, India today announced a line of credit worth USD 72.55 million to Laos for undertaking hyrdo-electric projects, pushing its total investments in this country to USD 162 million.
Indian Ambassador to Laos Jitendra Nath Misra said India's investment in the country have reached $162 million after the $72.55 million line of credit.
